Polar Bear Club - Week 2

All the swimmers rated the temperature of the water after the second Polar Bear Club, and most people thought the water in the pool was warmer.

Farmers in Gumboots

These are the sweetest, cleanest, cleverest farmers I've ever seen in the whole of New Zealand.

Celebration Night - The Gumboot Song and Dance

We enjoyed watching the rest of the show.

Celebration Night - the Choir

The choir sang beautifully at the opening of Celebration Night.

Ocean Layers

As part of our Under the Ocean theme, we have been learning about the different layers in the ocean, their environments and how sea creatures have adapted to live in a particular zone in the ocean.  Our Year One buddies helped us make enough marine animals so that most animals are represented.
After we had finished our wall display, everyone made their own representation using KidsPix.
Thank you for sharing your diagram on the class blog, Kaleb.

Polar Bear Club week 6

Most students from Room 3 and Room 5 joined the Polar Bear Club on Friday.  The new solar panels mean the water in the swimming pool is warmer than other years.  After our swim, Polar Bear Cubs rated how they had found the water temperature and most people found it warm(ish) using a scale of 1 to 10.
Here is the chart showing how we rated water temperature.
