What's Adan wearing by Jordan

What's Adan wearing?  I think Adan is wearing some sort of hat.What is it? I know, it is a possum hat with sheep wool.  Where did Adan get it from?  I know, he got it from Room 3.  Mrs Bear gave it to him, and room3 and room 5 had a turn, but what about the  other classrooms?  I think Mrs Bear is being mean to the other class and not caring.  He is wearing it because the weather is winter and he is freezing like a snowman and the wind is cold.

Daisy The School Cat By Chloe-Mae

I hear something in the bush and its coming very close to me.  It looks like a cute cuddly black cat.  I wonder why she's here and I wonder where she came from.  I can hear the leaves crunching when the cat moves around.  I wonder what her name is.  I want to pat her because she looks cuddly and friendly.  I hear people calling her Daisy so I have started to call her that as well.  I sometimes see Daisy outside school sleeping near a blue fence.  I have now patted her and she is lovely and kind.  Now I know where Daisy lives.  She lives next door to our school.

What Is Up The Ladder? By Adan

What is up this tall ladder? Is it a worker?  Maybe I should step sideways, it is a worker! What

Is he doing?  Is he fixing the shelter? Or is he painting the roof? Or is he just strolling around

and doing nothing?  I predict that he is painting the roof, shall I ask him what he is doing. "Ahoy!

Busy ay?  What are you doing anyway? Are you painting the roof, or are you fixing the cover?"  Bang, bang! "I'm painting a new white cover over this dusty paint," he shouted back.  I shouted back "When are you coming down? Now? Tomorrow? Or in a few minutes?""Soon!" he finally replied. "OK Mr. Worker!" I shouted back and then I walked back into room 31.

We used our imaginations to describe our favourite super power.  Then we used pastels to make a picture to illustrate our story.

Everyone has a chance to make their own crossword with a buddy using magnetic letters on the whiteboard.

Class Crossword

We made the letters of our name and co-operated together to make a class crossword.

First, everyone made the individual letters of their name using black paper strips.  Then we co-operated together to make a crossword using all the names.  It was fun finding people who shared a letter and connecting their names.

Self Portraits

Conner sketched added glasses to his self portrait.

We learnt to use a sketching pencil in different ways to make our self portrait.  Afterwards we wrote a personal profile and completed a self assessment of the art process.

We are all authors

The nature walk is a perfect place to read, quiet and cool.

We read our Summer holiday recounts in the nature walk under the trees.  We illustrated our stories with relevant pictures using wax crayon and dye, which made them more interesting to look at on the classroom wall.

Valentine cards

We researched all kinds of symbols and found a heart shape means love.

Here is one of our finished Valentine cards with its woven heart.  We published our Valentine's poem inside.
